Out of the closet and onto the streets come the Yankeekicks on foot images of the upcoming Off-White x Air Jordan 5 “Sail”. Last time Virgil Abloh graced us with the Jordan 5 “Black Metallic” was back around All-Star Weekend. Releasing only 46,000 pairs celebrating the AJ 5s 30th Anniversary, these kicks came highly coveted. Well, it turns out the celebrating isn’t over as Virgil has dropped an official release date for the “Sail” iteration. From top to bottom, the upper is lightly coated in multiple layers of Muslin mesh. Similar to the Off-White AJ 4 the Muslin is cross patterned throughout creating a nearly White appearance at the center. Meanwhile, Yellowed over eyestays, quarter panel and lace lock match portions of the rubber outsole. Fire Red accents the the 23 found on the lateral ankle, lace toggle, midsole and Jumpman emblems on the tongue and outsole. Sail makes up the “SHOELACES” and the exposed foam lining the collar and 3M reflective tongue. Subsequently, Black hits the rest of the midsole and balances out the silhouette. Presumably, these Jordans will also launch with limited availability of that initial 46,000 pairs. Only time will tell. For now, all there is to do now is wait for the Off-White x Air Jordan 5 “Sail” expected drop date of October 24th retailing for $225. Until then, enjoy the Yankeekicks on feet images below.
