Ye is changing up the materials and the silhouette on the newest Yeezy 500 model

Yeezy 500 High Slate

Kanye is looking after the sneaker community this winter, adding height and new material twists to his Yeezy 500 motif. Currently the only extended model, the new 500 silhouette trades in the low ankle for a high one, unintentionally hinting at the Air Jordan 11 design. With this change also comes neoprene, which is replacing the usual mesh material. Premium quality suede overlays pair nicely with tumble leather accents seen throughout.

Get into the look…

The all over tonal Pale Navy known as “Slate” truly pops because of the new fabric choices and set the sneakers apart from the rest in the Yeezy collection. “Slate” rope laces are held by suede oval eyelets. Well padded neoprene comprises the logo-less tongue and sock liner. In fact, the entire upper has no logos or trademarks. Those are reserved for the Adidas 3 Stripes on the toe box, adiPRENE+ tag on the Sail colored outsole and typical Adidas, Yeezy and Ortholite insole branding.

Black rubber midsole panel has two peaks heading towards the heel and the tumble leather panel wraps completely around the back of the sneaker. Here, the 500 High showcases the rubber on suede on leather panels. Similar to his other shoes, these will also features 3M piping throughout the upper.
