Nike Sports delivers another amazing throwback theme with the upcoming Nike Dunk High EMB “Lakers Cap” releasing at the end of the month. Shoutouts to the early days of Sports Specialty abound in this all-new specially embossed high-profile Dunk silhouette.

Nods to the Sports Specialty cap company Nike purchased in ’92 can be found throughout as well as a salute to the old school L.A. Lakers design. Starting with Black textile material for the base, the silhouette does its best to imitate the look and feel of a 90s Sports Specialty cap.

More Black makes up the tongue, laces, and liner. Perforations on the Black toe box change to embossed impressions, hence the “EMB”. Smooth Court Purple leather covers the toe wrap and eyestays, as well as the ankle and heel overlays.

Opti Yellow bursts onto the scene coating the Nike quarter panel Swooshes wrapping around to the heel. Likewise, Opti Yellow shows up on the Sports Specialty cobranded Nike tongue tab. Coming around to the later heel, we find a raised embroidered “Nike” in the Lakers’ iconic typeface. Going down past the liner, Green sole inserts sport a “One Size Fit Most” stamp, calling back to tab found on the inner brim of, you guessed it, Sports Specialty caps.

And we end with classic White hitting the Air midsole. Nike truly outdid themselves with the Dunk High PRM EMB “Lakers Cap”. Cop yours April 29th retailing for $120, that is, if you can.
