Here’s a look at the Nike Air Force 1 Low “First Use” celebrating 50 years of the Swoosh in glorious University Red. The first time the Nike Swoosh debuted dates back to June 18th, 1971. Now, 50 years later, you’d be hard-pressed to find a more globally recognizable symbol.
This AF 1 Low features a mix of mesh, leather, and suede. University Red drips off the upper, hitting everything from the breathable mesh liner to the fuzzy suede overlays. Deep Royal Blue coats the extra fuzzy heel counters. Atop the heel counter we see special Nike branding where the “N” and “I” are connected b the Swoosh itself embroidered.
Meanwhile, classic clean White pops on the synthetic tongue, insoles, and thick Air midsole. Likewise, quarter panel Swooshes come in White, with the medial ones filled in and the lateral ones only an outline. Meanwhile, Golden mini Swoosh dubraes inlaid with a single small diamond tops our double-sided Red and White laces.
Finally, just below the outlined lateral Swoosh lies the sentence “First use June 19, 1971.” Seeing how far both Nike and the AF 1 Low have come after 50 years is incredible and they show no signs of stopping any time soon.
Although no concrete release date for the Nike Air Force 1 Low “First Use”, you can bet they’ll drop in June. Keep it locked with YankeeKicks for more info coming soon.
