Brooklyn’s MSCHF creative collective has partnered with Reebok to introduce a distinctive reinterpretation of the classic Pump Omni Zone 2 sneakers, available in two different colors. Brendan Dunne of Complex reported on this collaboration.
The Reebok Pump Omni Zone II, initially released in 1991, became famous after Boston Celtics’ point guard Dee Brown wore them. His memorable no-look dunk in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest that year solidified these shoes in basketball history.
MSCHF’s take on the Pump Omni Zone II elevates the design by incorporating additional Pump features into the shoe’s upper. Made from leather and featuring distinctive TPU overlays, these sneakers offer Hexalite cushioning for exceptional comfort. Both shoes have a predominantly white base with vibrant blue accents and striking yellow and orange highlights. Additionally, the MSCHF branding is prominently displayed on the footwear.
