Previously, the Air Jordan 1 Retro CDP released September 20th 2008 as part of the Countdown Pack to celebrate the debut of the AJ 23 sneaker. This included limited edition packaging for all the previous 22 Air Jordan models.
The Air Jordan has been retro’d literally hundreds on time, dating back to 1994. However, Designer Peter Moore created this soft smooth leather constructed silhouette retailing at $310 and they have been coveted ever since.
Oreo cookie Black overlays and signature Swooshes blend perfectly into the Cream-White underlay panels, perforated toe box, tongue and laces. Additionally, the AJ 1 goes back to its roots with original detailing on the Nike Air tongue tag, ankle collar Wings and embroidered Jumpman heel.
Hidden on the Black insole is that familiar Nike Air Jumpman silhouette printed in White. Subsequently, White branded Air Jordan “Wings” atop the Black ankle stabilizer compliment the White midsole and Black rubber outsole.
Despite its numerous variations, the AJ 1 Retro is still one of the most popular sneakers in the game. Moreover, the Jordan 1 Retro White Black Countdown is currently reselling for roughly $525.
Were you one of the lucky few to snatch a pair during the original release? Or just a lucky buyer who copped them after the fact?
