Another adidas Yeezy 500 High dubbed “Sumac” gets a confirmed release date of May 17th. Is the 500 High looking to be the next big Yeezy model?

Flying under the radar since its 2019 debut, weather due to the pandemic or Kanye’s political aspirations, little fanfare was given to this silhouette. Now, releasing in two colorways just days from now, it seems like that’s about to change.

Bold, burning colors take on the 500 High-profile upper, complemented by washed-out sections creating greater visual depth. Rich Brown similar to the Middle Eastern spice Sumac coats the neoprene mesh tongue, collar, and underlays.

This comes topped with Crimson Red leather overlays around the collar and down into the lace cage. Likewise, we see this Red through the toggle lacing system. Meanwhile, the eyestays and quarter panel overlays stand out in faded Blue suede. Chocolate Brown hits the suede toe box and matching heel counter above more Sumac on the mudguards connected by a wavy Navy suede strip.

Subsequently, the enlarged rubber outsole carries the same faded Blue of the eyestays, giving the 500 a tonal balance that works well for this colorway. Be on the lookout for the adidas Yeezy 500 High “Sumac” retailing for $220
