Virgil Abloh takes on the Air Jordan 5 to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Jordan silhouette.

2019 was a great year for fashion icon Virgil Abloh, releasing hit after hit along with a new art exhibition. Looking forward to 2020, Abloh puts his spin on the Air Jordan 5 Retro.

Get into the look…

The suede upper is covered in a Silver industrial pattern, only broken up by the clear TPU mesh quarter panels. Also seen on the quarter panels are circular patch overlays. Additionally, lateral heel panels boast a bold “23” in White thread.

The exaggerated 3M reflective tongue displays a Fire Red Jumpman atop a Clear and Fire Red toggle lace lock and your choice of “SHOELACES” adorned laces in Fire Red, Black and White.

The Black shark tooth midsole reveals a Grey splattered mudguard and visible Air unit and leads to the translucent rubber outsole tinted with bold Yellow. Sockliner and insole are both a striking Black.

Set to release during NBA All-Star Weekend February 2020 at the retail value of $225, designer Virgil Abloh kicks off the 30th Anniversary for Air Jordan 5 with the Off-White x AJ 5, rumored to only be releasing 46,000 pairs. Be sure to stay tuned for more on these and the latest in sneaker news.
