An all-new Air Jordan 9 “University Gold” releases at the end of the month retailing for $190. Smooth nubuck coats the AJ 9 high-cut silhouette in a Black and Dark Charcoal design with hints of the titular University Gold throughout. Black covers the quilted forefoot underlays, tongue, laces.
Meanwhile, Dark Charcoal hits the toe wrap, heel, and ankle overlays. University Gold makes up the plush collar and sockliner, heel pull tab stamped with a global Jumpman emblem. This is above the University Gold and Black embroidered “23” at the base of the heel. More Gold accents appear on the Jumpman emblem on the lateral ankle and arch of the outsole as well as the Air Jordan tongue branding.
Subsequently, Black distinctively shaped globes, stars, and multiple languages tell the well-known “international story” of MJ’s impact on and off the court. Words in French, German, Swahili, Spanish, and Russian speak to the traits of Jordan like “Dede” the French word for “dedicated” or “Anmutig” the German word for “graceful.” Be on the lookout for the Air Jordan 9 “University Gold” releasing in both Men and GS sizes on January 30th, retailing for $190.
