Here’s a detailed look at the Nike LeBron 8 V2 Low “Sprite” set to release in a few weeks. It turns out the Miami Nights wasn’t the only LeBron 8 V2 silhouette being brought into 2021. Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of its release, this Sprite-themed model returns this June. However, a few new details get added to the design.

Way back in 2003, LeBron James began his contract with Coke and their subsidiaries Powerade and Sprite. At the time, his rookie year with the Cleveland Cavaliers hadn’t even begun yet. Ever since, the pro b-ball player has been nearly synonymous with the brand, particularly Sprite, up until the end of his 18-year contract in 2020.

Nearly the entire upper comes dressed in this bold Treasure Blue. This includes the textile mesh, Flywire overlays, leather eyestays, and comparatively extended tongue the OG version did not have.

Likewise, the overall hue appears more vivid than its predecessor. Same for the Volt liners, 8-shaped uppermost eyelets, medial reverse Swoosh, and base of the full-length Air Max sole.

White keeps things neutral on the midsole and lateral quarter panel Swoosh lined in more Volt. The three colors unite across the outsole and across the outsole beautifully.

Overall, this updated iteration makes some great improvements in terms of materials and use of color. Sad to say the original, no pun intended, pales in comparison.
