Released February 16^th, 2020 and retailing for $250 The Yeezy Quantum marks Kanye West’s first foray into basketball sneakers versus his traditional adidas BOOST performance runners. Arriving in the first YZY QNTM BOOST box, the performance version of which dubbed “BSKTBL” is set to drop in May kicking off the Summer. Taking its own namesake as its first colorway, ‘QNTM’ says goodbye to the primarily Primeknit upper Yeezy fans have come to recognize. Instead, we find a Beige suede toe cap, White quarter panel mesh with Grey and White rib-knit waves, and a Black synthetic throat, tongue, and liner. The BOOST midsole remains slightly translucent supported by a herringbone rubber outsole in a frosted off-White for a casual basketball sneaker feel in-stride. Adidas rope laces end with molded Black aglets. Adidas Yeezy co-branding appears solely on the inserts.
