Edward Chen, co-founder of CLOT, tears the AF1 Low a new one

Nike teams up with CLOT to pay homage and honor to Chinese heritage with their two new colorways for the Air Force 1. As of Monday both Game Royal and the yet-to-be-seen Rose Gold are available.

The shimmering silk on the entirely Game Blue upper is inspired by the balance and duality of Yin and Yang. Intricately embroidered Chinese vector patterns cover all but the matching Blue Nike Swooshes. White pops in the heel counter, insole, and tongue tag.

Surprisingly this gorgeously laid silk is meant to be torn, peeled or even burned away. Chen added this feature to reveal a secondary upper in Pale Grey and the same vector patterns now in a Golden Brown. A white midsole and beige outsole also help bring balance to the overall look.
