This is a journey into sneakers: Getting a closer look at the Nike SB Dunk “Paid In Full.”

Black Sheep thought of a master plan: to bring an Eric B. and Rakim inspired SB Dunk to the world. And, the “Queen City” skate shop almost succeeded. Rakim and Eric B. gave us the hit July of ’87 song and album “Paid In Full” and fans were all about hype over a Hip-Hop duo themed sneaker. However, as soon as they were revealed they were cancelled immediately.

Get into the look…

Unquestionably, White, black, red, green and gold come together in a lover letter to 80’s aesthetic. As a result, Gucci-like interlocked “SB” repeats across the White leather vamp, ankle collar, and quarter panel underlays. Black suede overlays are found on the mudguard, heel counter, and lace guard.

Subsequently, White mesh tongue sit under thick Red laces that nod to OG rope chains. Gold adorns the Dunk with special accents. Swooshes and heel stabilizer stitched with Red thread show off that Metallic color. Likewise, the Red translucent outsole is speckled with Golden glitter. Finally, a lush Green neoprene sockliner completes the look.
