This Asia/Europe exclusive Nike SB Dunk Low “Camcorder” takes us all the way back to the days of the Sony DCR-VX1000. For all the sneakerheads and hypebeasts born after the 2000s, take a journey with me. Imagine, if you will, a time before social media, google, and cell phones. When burning CDs to make playlists were all the rage and if you had the money, you had yourself a handheld camcorder. If you wanted to prove you landed the best moves on the board, you were using one of these bad boys.
Nike SB Dunk pours out some nostalgia with this latest low-profile silhouette covered in words to represent the features of the DCR-VX1000. The nubuck and leather upper perfectly reflect the style and color of those old school recorders with faded Grey underlays and White and Black overlays. Additionally, the use of Teal for the Nike branded heel counter and marking the moment you press record in the insoles creates the perfect pop of color. Other fun accents included the multicolored upper eyelets representing the other functions. Subsequently, a large Red circle appears on the Grey rubber outsole like a “Record” button, closing out the design. While the Nike SB Dunk Low “Camcorder” hits select skate shops across Europe and Asia, I’m afraid we won’t be seeing them drop in States due to production problems. For now, enjoy the images below and keep it locked to YankeeKicks for more updates.
