adidas shouts out its favorite Disney-owned iconic Green characters with the upcoming Stan Smith Primegreen “Character Pack.” Primegreen is a series of high-performance sustainable materials meant to reduce the reliance on virgin polyester, which is made of non-renewable resources. Primegreen itself comes comprised of no less than 40% recycled construction. This material is already being utilized in many of adidas’ apparel and footwear. So what better way to celebrate “going Green” (pun intended) than with our favorite Green-clad personas in six Stan Smith silhouettes. The pack features loveable characters Tinkerbell, Kermit the Frog, The Incredible Hulk, Rex, and Mike Wazowski. 

First up, everyone’s favorite tea-sipping meme, Kermit the Frog from the Muppets gets treated to two unique colorways. Utilizing a clean White tumbled base, the Smith comes covered in graphics of the happy frog in multiple poses and perspectives from toe to the tongue and around to the Kermit-colored “going green” adidas branded heel counter. While the second Kermit silhouette applies the same White base, the accents become more subtle, with just the name Kermit in Green across the quarter panel and an outlined image of the frog smiling with his arms crossed at the heel.

Similar to the Kermit models, this next White-based Stan Smith shouts out Tinkerbell and her magical trail. A simple outline of the pixie appears across the back of the quarter panel, her wand ending in a perforated star mixed among the regular circles. Meanwhile, both the laces and heel counter take on a gorgeous gradient mix of Blues, Yellows, and Greens. Tinkerbell matches the adidas tongue branding.

Switching up the color, The Incredible Hulk goes for an all-Black upper, tongue, laces, and liner. The iconic “Hulk Smash” appears in Green with hints of Purple across the quarter panels. Likewise, the uppermost eyelets pop with Purple. However, the Stan Smith tongue goes for a Green outline making Stan’s face look exposed to Gamma radiation. This also translates to the “going green” heel counter. Subsequently, a translucent outsole completes the Incredible Hulk look.

The Rex Stan Smith goes a bit more literal, utilizing a debossed Green upper to replicate the Toy Story dinosaur’s plastic reptilian skin. This covers everything from the toe box to the heel stabilizer. Even the liner hits the same shade of Green. However, a nice change of color comes from the gradient laces that start off White t the vamp and turn more and more Green heading up to the tongue. More White hits the heel counter and Stan Smith tongue branding. Finally, a translucent outsole finishes the Rex design.

Last, but not least, the great Mike Wazowski from Monsters, Inc shows up in several poses around a Sail-colored upper with matching tongue, laces, liner, and heel counter. To match the comedic cyclops, a Pale Green translucent outsole completes the silhouette. Mike Wazowski is another character that made major meme waves as well.
