Take a look at the upcoming Dave’s Quality Meat collaboration for the DQM x Nike Air Max 90 ‘Bacon’ set to release this holiday season. Harking back to 2005, this 2020 AM 90 pays homage to the now-closed sneaker boutique Dave’s Quality Meat. Although listed as a butcher according to New York City Yellow Pages, the botique sold the hottest footwear, apparel and accessories while maintaining a meat shop theme. Leather, suede and rubber materials are colored to resemble sides of pork and gives off the appearance of skinned meat. Sail coats the majority of the upper, hitting the toe box, ankle and quarter panel overlays that wrap around the heel. Next, Red makes up the mudguard, eyestays and vamp. This leads to a breathable mesh tongue of soft Pink, matching the quarter panel leather Swoosh. Brown coats the rubber eyelets, heel counter, visible Air unit cage and waffle outsole.
