Without a doubt, Nike is kicking up a storm and experimenting to bring Sneaker Savants an all new creation. The White, Black and Burned Orange Air Max 200.
Nike Air Max is known for it’s top quality underfoot cushioning, contemporary detailing and mesh uppers. They are breathable, lightweight and oh so comfortable. Originally released in March 1987, it was to be featured Nike’s first television ad that same year. Now more than 3 decades later, the Air Max line enters its Jesus year (33) and transforms itself by merging with another of Nike’s classic designs.
1990 was a good year for Nike. February would bring the release of new Air Jordan sporting a distinctive reflective tongue, translucent rubber soles perfect for traction and lace locks. This was AJ V. In 2000, they would become the first sneaker from Nike to be retro’d in the new millennium. However, moving into 2020 it appears that the AJV may have met its match with this new matchup.
It should be noted the AM 200 appears to takes the best qualities of both shoes and merges them gracefully. The Hi Top silhouette boasts Black lace locks with Burned Orange peaking out underneath. Black laces rest on a translucent Deep Grey tongue. The toe box and rest pf the upper are a Pure White broken up by the Black heel stabilizer.
A White “JUMPMAN” centerpiece is prominently featured on the outsole sitting underneath the logo of the same name encased in Burned Orange. Similarly the Orange can be seen on the tongue’s inner lining, upper eyelets, heel tag and heel counter logo. The insole is a Stark Black bringing balance the rest of the sneaker.
The retail price and release date are still to be announced and hopefully more pictures will be out soon. However, sneaker fans should stay tuned to find out more.
