The brand new Nike Air Max 97 “Purple Bullet” salutes an iconic colorway from the past, hopefully releasing in the following months for $170. In the way way back time of 1997, Cristian Tesser and Nike launched the AM 97 in a futuristic Metallic Silver colorway.
Designed to boost style without compromising comfort and support, the Air Max 97 remains one of Nike’s most popular models. And with good reason.
This iteration utilizes the same Metallic Silver as the OG and the updated 2017 versions for the mesh underlays. This comes contrasted by stark Black for the sockliner, tongue and heel pull tabs, and rubber outsole below.
3M reflective tech pops in the forefoot overlays. Meanwhile, vibrant Violet accents the lining on the pull tabs, forming the Nike swooshes on the tongue and quarter panels and Black insoles. Likewise, Violet looks stunning on the full-length Total Max White midsole and in sections of the Black and White outsole.
What a great way to call back a classic. Currently, we still wait for a drop date for the upcoming Nike Air Max 97 “Purple Bullet”. So, keep it locked to YankeekKicks for more information coming soon.
