Welcome back to the YankeeKicks Closet for a detailed look at the Nike Dunk Low WMNS “Flip The Old School”.
Hopefully releasing before the end of the year, Nike literally takes an OG design and flips it on its head. Inspired by the 1999 “ City Attack” pack, this low-profile women’s silhouette carries tons of surprises.
A gorgeous pairing of Varsity Purple, White, and hints of University Gold unfold under a Greyscale box paper tear-away shroud. The graphics depict a drawn line of basketball players from the sock line downward standing on a court with the familiar message of “Be True To Your School.”
Likewise, these graphics appear across the sole inserts and include a White reserved Nike logo. That’s not the only place we see things flipped.
The two Dunks invert one another in color placement, with the lateral quarter panel Nike Swoosh upside down and the logos flipped on the tongue and heel counter of the left sneaker.
Tumbled leather underlays and the addition of ostrich leather overlays come in either Varsity Purple or White, same with the laces, liners, and synthetic tongues. However, both sneakers carry a White midsole and Purple rubber outsole below.
A concrete release date for the Nike Dunk Low WMNS “Flip The Old School” still alludes us. For now, enjoy the YankeeKicks original images and stay tuned for more info coming soon.
