One legend celebrates another as Nike prepares to drop an all new Kobe 5 Protro ‘Alternate Bruce Lee.’ Harking back to 2010 when the OG Bruce Lee Kobe 5 drop, this updated silhouette pays homage to the Hong Kong American film star and martial arts icon. The forefoot pops with Silver with a slightly brighter hue on the tongue and laces. This compliments the patent Black perforated toe box, mudguard and quarter panels. White Swooshes are outlined in a fiery Red, which also makes up scratch marks Bruce Lee received in the film “Game of Death.” Coming around to the mesh heel splashes of Yellow appear on the heel collar as well as the signature on the heel counter. Heartbeat herringbone treading on the outsole comes in White, accented with Black and Yellow Kobe branding. Rest in peace to two legends. Stay tuned for an official release date for the Kobe 5 Protro ‘Alternate Bruce Lee.’

Updated 5/27: Official images of the Alternate iteration of the the K5 Protro BL have surfaced. Instead of Silver, White will be the dominant color. Additionally, it appears they will drop by the end of the Summer.
