First released in 2016, the Yeezy 350 V2 has ranged from monochromatic to reflective. Sometimes a little of both. Kanye’s newest “Yeezreel” colorway will come in both a full luminescent and reflective styles.
Right away, our eyes are pulled to the left and right halves of the two Primeknit leather uppers stitched down the center of the sneaker. Because of this, the left and right shoes mirror each other in a reverse-inverse pattern of Day-Glow Neon. Unlike the new Boost 380 “Alien” which is also similar glow-in-the-dark midsole, the seams on the upper and the heel are exposed with a Chartreuse thread.
The 3M striped collar, heel counter, eyestays, slim tongue and branding are all tucked inside in matching Chartreuse. Mint rope laces give greater tonal balance to the sneakers. The only break from all the glow is the Pale Orange stitch work on the heel tag. Finally on the same Chartreuse hides Adidas trademark on the toe tip and “BOOST” on the heel. Just imagine if he was rocking these during the Glow In The Dark Tour back ’08.
Available through Adidas website, retailers and select dealers you can see the non-reflective pair December 7th with the reflective version dropping the following week on December 16th.
Now I bet you’re wondering “How can I tell if I’m getting the real deal with these sneakers and not a good imitation pair?” Keep it locked right here on yankeekicks.com for tips on how to tell reals from the fakes.
