Ever wondered what it would be like to walk a mile in 44th U.S. President Barack Obama’s shoes? How much would you pay to do so? Say, $25,000 (in USD, of course)? Well, Sotheby’s New York Auction House, the minds behind the Nike Hyperdunk PE Barack Obama, say put your money where your mouth is.

According to sources, this size 12.5 court-ready kicks is one of only two pairs made at the time Obama first entered office. However, rumors abound regarding whom these Hyperdunks came from. While one pair was naturally gifted to the former POTUS, he has never been seen publicly wearing them. And, it’s doubtful he’d part with them.

The patriotic White leather panels, Red accents, and Navy Blue overlays scream U.S.A. Translucent film hangs over the Flywire quarter panels and pairs nicely with the large perforated mesh tongue. Typical Nike branding on the leather tongue tab gets replaced for a regal Presidential Seal encircled in embroidered Gold thread. A Navy “44” lined in Red sits at the medial toe, adding dimension to the silhouette. Subsequently, the insoles carry bald eagle graphics with the year “1776” reminding us of America’s founding.

The auction house confirms outside of a small mark near the swoosh on the right sole, the Hyperdunks have maintained their looks and are in great condition after 12 years. And for the modest price of $25,000, you too can score your chance to buy the Sotheby’s Nike Hyperdunk Barack Obama PE. The auction is set to take place at 4:44 p.m. this Friday on Sotheby’s new “Buy Now” website.
