Melody Ehsani incorporates a golden watch lace jewel in her new Air Jordan 1 “Fearless Ones” Women’s Exclusive

LA native fashion designer Melody Ehsani, already known for her phenomenal work in fashion and the sneaker world, is making her first partnered deal with the JB team to produce the Air Jordan 1 “Fearless” ME Mid. These sneakers are part of the combined efforts of 6 artists and the “Fearless Ones” collection.

“I guess you could say that design is part of my divine blueprint,” says Ehsani. “I believe that honoring my blueprint helps me bring to the world new patterns of behavior and equality for myself and for all women in the future.”

Sneaker fans may recognize Ehsani’s unique and mesmerizing style from her years collaborating with Reebok. Popular kicks like the Classic Leather “Lux” and “Ventilator”  Pythons or the Reebok “Question” Mid feature a signature fully lashed eyeball jewel laced into each shoe or a captivating overall pattern. 

What fans can expect…

Firstly, the leather and neoprene build of the Air Jordan 1s pops with hues of White, Navy, Half Blue, Habanero Red, Green, Orange and Pink throughout. However, its mismatching primary color block theme that makes these shoes stand alone.

The left sneaker boasts two shades of Blue and one Green while the right comes in Orange, Red and Pink. Both display the hand-written midsole message “If you knew what you had was rare, you would never waste it.”

In addition, this versatile color palette comes with Navy, Light Blue, Yellow, Pink and Purple interchangeable laces. A gold accented watch lace-jewel crowns the front of the sneaker. The translucent rubber outsole reveals other messages from the designer herself. All complimented by a gorgeous Baby Blue sky and White clouds.

Inside the shoe, another secret message lies in wait for the wearer to appreciate; mantras inspired by author Julie Burns Walker meant to help empower and keep one on the path to everything they are and need.

What’s more, following Ehsani’s collaborative success, the 39 year old designer celebrates her recent nuptials to Red Hot Chili Pepper bassist Flea; which she considers her best collaboration to date.

Moreover, Ehsani’s Air Jordan 1s will release exclusively for women at the Melody Ehsani Shop in L.A. on Nov. 8, with a portion from each ME. item purchased going towards the advancement and education of women. The global launch takes place on Nov. 15. Sorry fellas, these kicks are just for the ladies.

The Jordan Brand Fearless Ones collaborators also include  New York’s culinary collective Ghetto Gastro, Los Angeles-based artist Blue the Great, cutting edge Japanese brand FACETASM, Parisian lifestyle brand Maison Château Rogue, and CLOT founder Edison Chen.
