For example , Michael Jordan has stepped up. “We must join forces with the community, government and civic leaders to create a lasting impact together,” Jordan Brand president Craig Williams said. Jordan Brand adds its voice to Nike who has made June 19 aka Juneteenth 2020 a paid holiday for its employees.

MJ and the Jordan Brand will each $50 million adding to the $40 million Nike plans to contribute. Jordan’s $100 million pledge comes in the wake of the national and global outrage of the death of George Floyd. However, Jordan brand has a long history of philanthropy.
