Black Friday footwear is coming on strong this year as Adidas roles out hit after hit with multiple releases. One of which is the updated Black colorway for its trippy Woodstock inspired variegated UltraBOOST entitled “The Encore.” The second in a series of psychedelic summer of ’69 tie-dyed runner first release in August, it subtly switches accents from White to Black for a more striking appearance.
Translucent black midfoot cage hold all Black laces with deep Red aglets. The sharp Black, heel clip, mudguard and sockliner pull us back from the color-filled void that encompasses the primeknit upper. The tongue branding are split between a Red Nice Kicks text box and a Woodstock-inspired guitar graphic, the latter of which also appears spread out across both insoles in a much larger fashion.
Full-length black BOOST midsole and classic gum outsole with the Adidas performance logo on the toe box bring stability and comfort the the runner. But it’s in the dark that these kicks truly shine. Ultraviolet illuminated hues take over once the lights go out and the party turns up. As featured above, they will also arrive in a matching tie-dyed tin carrying case.
