Nike may publicly release LeBron James Air Max LeBron 7 “Lakers” basketball sneakers.

Recently, Nike Air Max LeBron 7 achieved Retro status. With 17 silhouettes under his belt, it’s well earned. A fraternal pair, the L.A. Lakers inspired LeBron 7s come in Deep Purple and Vibrant Yellow, respectively. Previously only a Player Edition model, the LeBron 7 “Lakers” colorway will be releasing sometime this year. The real question is when?

At first glance, it may look like the uppers are split with the medial and lateral sides either Yellow or Purple. However, each decked out leather upper fully represents one predominant shade, with inverted details of the second.

Also, White straw-mat woven panels really make those hues pop. In fact, tonally the mix of fabrics creates fantastic dimension. Shimmering synthetic leather collar accents are plush and just down right sexy. A White leather toe box, mudguard and foam midsole unify the two shoes.

Laterally, an enlarged White Swoosh appears outlined in either primary color with an “L23” button on the heel. On the medial side, we find a smaller Swoosh but a large “L23” on the heel; Leather eyelets surround a LeBron branded tongue and gorgeous mesh throat.

What’s more, the speckled full-length Air Max midsole keeps basketball pros and fans in mind. They provide extra support to the soft padding on the insole, and durable grip to the traction on the rubber outsole below.
