A classic “Will he; Won’t he” situation. Will Virgil Abloh drop the rumored Off-White x Air Jordan 1 “Canary Yellow” this summer or won’t he?

Previously, this Off-White x Air Jordan 1 Canary Yellow sat on display in Virgil Abloh’s “Figures of Speech” Chicago exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Currently, it’s up for debate whether we’ll see the AJ 1 Canary Yellow will be released to the public or not.

Virgil brings his deconstructed aesthetic to another AJ 1 with exposed foam, stitch-patched Swooshes and signature OFF-WHITE 2020 zip tie. Crisp White leather toe boxes compliment Tweety colored suede panels on the mudguard, eyestays and forefoot stabilizer.

White laces sit atop a mesh tongue, matching the “AIR” stamped midsole and ankle stabilizer boasting Air Jordan Wings in a debossed Canary Yellow. Of course, the forefoot wouldn’t be complete without the iconic secondary set of “SHOELACES.”

Pops of Blue thread and Orange patchwork secure White Swooshes to the faint Grey quarter panels. This leads the the Yellow heel and Light Grey heel pull tab. Moving up the collar, more mesh hits the underlay and ends with lines of exposed foam heading into the Yellow sockliner. Finally, a Yellow rubber outsole completes the look.
