Patriot Wide Receiver Mohamed Sanu “coordinates” his Nike Vapor Cleats before the Baltimore Ravens game.

Mohamed Sanu pays extraordinary tribute to the legendary comedian, actor, writer and cultural icon John Witherspoon. Witherspoon passed on to the other side October 29th, after working on a new YouTube video, at the age of 77. Sanu took to IG, hours before kick-off against the Baltimore Ravens, to show his love and appreciation for the comic.

Metallic Blue inverted polka dots gorgeously coat the Black/Varsity Red color-way across the toe tip, tow burst, vamp and mudguard. Black laces help keep focus on the quarter panels. One side boasts a mural-style well recognized John Witherspoon, wearing a matching Metallic Blue button down covered in Varsity Red polka dots and topped with a pastel Purple bowtie. On the other side, the words “you GOT to COORDINATE” ambre from Varsity Red softly into that soft Purple. Here designer @dezcustomz references Witherspoon’s 2008 stand-up comedy special.

In loving memory…

Witherspoon is best known for his roles as John “Pops” Williams in the 1995 WB series The Wayans Bros. , Willie Jones in Ice Cube’s original Friday trilogy and as Robert Jebediah “Grandad” Freeman in the renewed Boondocks animated series exclusively featured on Adult Swim. John seemed at home giving out sage, yet comical, fatherly advice and spent his career helping raise multiple generations of Black kids as their TV dad.

Moreover, that is just the tip of the kick iceberg when it comes to Mohamed.
