Step inside our closet for a Yankeekicks on feet look at the unreleased Air Jordan 5 “What The” releasing November 7th retailing for $220. Tinker Hatfield’s 1990 design gets elements from several of its iterations including the “Bel-Air“, “Tokyo” , and “Quai 54“. Similar to the LeBron 17, each sneaker takes on a bright dominant color with multiple accenting designs. Starting with the left AJ 5, Bright Crimson coats the suede upper complimented with a Golden “Shanghai” insignia at the lateral ankle. Black laces, eyestays and midsole bring the look together while Ghost Green accenting the 3M Silver tongue and rubber outsole stand out. Moving over to the right sneaker, a brilliant University Maize hits the silhouette also complimented by Black laces. However, Solar Orange replaces Ghost Green lining the tongue and Court Purple replaces the Black midsole. Additionally, we find Black Japanese embroidery reminiscent of the “Tokyo” colorway. Meanwhile, the greatest graphics are saved for the plush sockliner. Each AJ 5 takes on a nearly opposing patterns in multiple colors leading down to Black sole inserts. Releasing November 7th, the Air Jordan 5 “What The” will also release in corresponding grade school sizing. So, how the the AJ 5s hold up to the other “What The” iterations? Enjoy the Yankeekicks on feet images below.
