The upcoming Undercover x Sacai x Nike LDwaffle “Bright Citron” makes its way to the YankeeKicks Closet, expected to release soon retailing for $160. This LDwaffle doubles up on the Japanese fashion icons, seeing our Chitose Abe, and raises us Jun Takahashi.

Just like the Waffle Daybreak and the LDV silhouettes fused to make the LDwaffle, Undercover’s added influence elevates this already hyped sneaker. Black nylon kicks off the upper and top-most tongue.

The doubled-up eyestays appear in Dark Grey grainy leather with hints of Light Grey suede along the edges. The colors become inverted on the suede toe wrap and smooth leather mudguard as well as the dual heel counters. 

The flat ribbon-like Black and Bright Citron laces against the nylon tongues pull the eyes up to the familiar doubled-up tongue tabs. The outermost Sail tab features Black Nike Sportswear branding and a Citron Swoosh.

Meanwhile, the secondary Citron tab utilizes Black for Swoosh and Sail for its branding. Additionally, this Yellow tab reads “UNDERCOVER Jun Takahashi” at its base.

The cottony-soft sockliner matches the outer leather quarter panel Swoosh and waffled rubber outsole below in that same brilliant Yellow hue. Subsequently, the secondary Swoosh arrives in Light Grey suede.

Rounding out the silhouette we find the thick, extended Sail midsole carries Nike/Sacai/Undercover tri-branding. However, the traditional Nike x Sacai branding remains the same on the Sail heel counters and insoles.
