Today YankeeKicks provides a sneak peek break down of the upcoming Nike  Sacai Vaporwaffle “Black/Gum” expected to release soon retailing for $180. Similar to previous models, this Vaporwaffle iteration displays a Black on Black nylon, velvety suede, and smooth leather construction. The three materials work in tandem to create a mix of sheen and matte surfaces, giving the silhouette more dimension. Nylon starts off as our base, aided by suede overlays wrapping the toe and up the eyestays.

The flat ribbon-like laces against the nylon tongues pull the eyes up to the familiar doubled-up White tongue tabs, the outermost sporting a brilliant Orange Nike Swoosh. The Black liner and insole make the Sacai’s interior pitch. Grey leather half-circles line the forefoot matching the Nike Sacai branding on the Black leather heel counter. Leather also makes up the quarter panel Swooshes. The heel stabilizer comes in Black above the thick double midsole of the same color. Inside the shoe, more Nike Sacai branding appears in Grey on the inserts. Resting beneath it all is a Gum rubber waffle sole for perfect comfort in stride. No release date is available at this time for the Nike Sacai Vaporwaffle “Black/Gum” but predictably they may drop before the end of Spring. For now, enjoy the YankeeKicks sneak peek images below.
